Our MEA (Malt Extract Agar) formulation as pre-mixed dry powder for mushroom growing (mycology).
Add to water, sterilize and pour your own plates.
22.5g = 500ml of final product and is enough to make approximately 12 to 15 standard 90mm plates.
Agar is used to clone your fresh bought or foraged specimens, expanding the cultures you already have in your collection, streaking collected spores from spore prints and used often for checking the quality of your liquid cultures.
