Yes — the adherable surfaces ship with sterile contact faces sealed by the backing. Peel and apply just before sealing the jar for sterilization, or apply post-sterilization on a sanitized surface. Once adhered, the port self-heals between needle injections; the filter patch lets gas pass without admitting contaminant spores. Sterilize the jar (and adherables) at 15 PSI in a pressure cooker or autoclave before use — the adherables are sterilization-safe.
